Shot down by my own AI ally

First of all, I say that I love the new clouds and the graphical aspect of version 2.7. But now, an observation, it is the first time that an ally of artificial intelligence attacks and demolishes me since I am in DCS World. I don't know how it happened but I can give two clues, there have been no previous accidents and the AIM-120C with which I was shot down has never entered active mode. Could it be a mere one in ten million coincidence that I have hit a lost missile, or has the missile been guided to me by mistake?

 

Sorry for not providing a tracking track, but even I haven't been able to reproduce it because everything is out of sync minutes after takeoff.

It can happen if you get between the AIM-120 and the target when it goes active or the intended target is shot down. It also happens with heaters. It's AFAIK not considered a bug

It can happen IRL, too. You really need to pay attention to where your wingmen are when fighting BVR. An AMRAAM without datalink guidance will lock onto the first thing it sees, so you really need to make sure that isn't going to be you.

The missile was fired by my ally 8 miles behind my position targeting the (Su-24) that (I) had just shot down, the missile ran out of (target) and I was right in its path. There is no other explanation. The amazing thing is that it hit me in (ballistic) mode with no activation and no alert.

I spent the whole flight thinking that I had shot down an enemy and when I checked the chat I found reality.

 

Two AMRAAMs launched against a confirmed hostile contact, have been directed towards my ally.

You track is from an MP server. It would be easier to have a short SP track to try and reproduce your issue.

 

Do you know about the Home On Jam feature of most Fox-1 and Fox-3 missiles allolwing them to automatically lock jamming aircraft whenever they get lost?
