How to export and SUCCESSFULLY reimport controller settings?

Sorry, I'm sure it is not the first thread for this topic...

but for the flying f**k, I can't make it work.

 

Anyone figured it out?

Mark any Device column (so the column is highlighted). Save the profile for this specific controller in a safe place. After a reinstall or if you want the saved profile back, highlight the matching(!) device column and load the profile.

Yes, so far it's pretty self-explanatory - just....

it doesn't work.

 

Edit: I'm not saying that I didn't do something wrong...but as far as you described it, I did exactly(!) that and it won't work.

 

Edit2: Am I supposed to do that for every module individually or can/must I export all controller settings for all modules at once?

I'm in a similar boat - about to do a full Windows reinstall, and reformatting all SSDs. I obviously don't want to lose my bindings for the Tomcat and Spitfire - how do I back them all up at once? Note that I'm running Steam version, Beta 2.7. Install directory is D:\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld
