PKP_Cooler Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Hello, I was wondering if someone might be able to assist me. I have facetrackNIR, delan hatrack and Opentrack with AItrack. I have tried all three and I still can not seem to get head tracking right. Does anyone edit the DCS trackz etc files? or rely on the head tracking software. It is usually very jittery. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Rudel_chw Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 That`s just the software ... what hardware are you using? I use an IR Clip plus a PS3 Webcam, and with FaceTrackNoIR I get good results. 2 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
MAXsenna Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 I have almost identical setup as Rudel. Though DelanClip and Opentrack.Never been jittery. Make sure to turn off ALL lights behind you. Mirrors and other reflections can be a pain. Watch in the Opentrack display for other light sources.Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk 1
draconus Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Please show a video of how it looks. 1. Make sure your framerates are good enough. There is no smooth playing/tracking in low fps. 2. Check the tracking outside of DCS in the tracking software first. It needs to see the 3 leds all the time and only 3. 3. Some small shaking movement comes from our head micro-movements but there are filters for that. 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Rudel_chw Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Probably, the OP is trying to use face tracking instead of using an IR clip.
