Blank screen on startup - new install

BRAND NEW to DCS.  Downloaded Beat version at ED site (not Steam).  I have a login account.  Select Beta DCS icon on desktop.  Login windown pops up with my account and password correct.  Select account and it appears to proceed, checks for updates.  Next widow that appears 'should be' the DCS window but that is just a completely white blank window and it freezes. 

 

I've run the 'fix' icon and nothing.  I've downloaded it TWICE NOW and same outcome.  I have no idea what I'm really doing to be honest.  Purchased system primarily to run DCS so I really need help getting this up and running.  Tried to search Forum topics but cannot find similar issue.

What about installing the stable version first instead of the open beta because that last one has quite a bit of issues since the update?

That totally looks like what I did.  Good god.  Twice.  Good thing the download only take 5 hours...

I will try again and let you know.
