Load troops using the mission editor

+1 as well as embarked troops being visible in the passenger compartment (even if the doors just open and they teleport in and and out).

We'll need more infantry weapons, standard rifle, machine gun,  and mortar squad sizes. Initially I would be happy with an rpg and a bunch of aks.

Personally, I think the best solution to that is to have a loadout editor, much like a certain battlefield simulator beginning with A and ending with 3. It doesn't need to be anywhere near as detailed, but the option to select what main weapon is being used, and maybe things like camouflage, plate carriers and helmets. Just so we don't have to have a dedicated unit for each individual weapon.

For different roles like JTACs, FACs and mortar crews etc, they can be their own dedicated unit.

Surely the loadout editor for aircraft could be adapted to fit infantry. Liveries as camouflage, and then "pylon" slots for weapons and different types of armour.

That's what I was thinking too.

Presumably you could do the same for weapon handling pallets/trailers etc.
