Hi everyone. I have an issue with my FPS in DCS 2.7 Open Beta.

As soon as i join a game or even when i enter certain menus, my framerate gets locked to exactly 63 FPS.

I have deactivated V-Sync in DCS aswell as the AMD settings. I also set the Maxfps in the Grapics.lua to 200 and also tried false.

Im really suprised that changing my graphic settingss to something much higer doesnt change my framerate at all.

Also: when i hit pause in a singleplayser mission, my FPS actually go up above 120.

I just upgraded my RAM because it was full when i played DCS, and my pc loaded a lot of data into the pagefile.

when i play DCS my GPU is at about 70-80% when i have the 63 FPS, my CPU also is no way near 100%, not even single cores.

I dont really know what to do.

I have a Vega 64, Ryzen 3800x, 32GB DDR4-3600 Ram, 144Hz Monitor, using TrackIR , no VR

Playing in FullHD

Thank you in advance.

Edit:   My system was able to go way above 100 FPS a year ago

Edit2: When i pause the game and my framerate increases, my GPU goes up to 100%, why is it limited when the game is unpaused?

Edit3: checked fullscreen optimisazion and dpi-scaling settings. all options dont change anything

I tested this instantly now, it still stays at exactly 63 FPS when i look at the sky. GPU usage is at 70%. when i pause the game i get 146 fps while looking up GPU usage goes to 100%

I turned it all off.

Its wierd because my hardware is able to go to 100% and higher FPS but only when the game is paused.

Anti-Lag is off, chill mode is off, basically every AMD setting.

I can send screenshots if somebody needs to see the exact settings

95 percentile is 16ms wich equals to 62.5 Hz

This is indeed a very weird issue. Something is clearly limiting your FPS, as 63fps average, 63fps 95percentile is not something that happens organically. But it's only limiting FPS when the game is unpaused.

I assume this didn't happen with 2.6 ?

To me this is a bug with DCS, the pause/unpause thing proves it imo. Hopefully this is resolved fast for you.

Im not certain if happened in 2.6 because i was a bit inactive, but it wasnt the case in 2.5 . If its necessary i can try to download the 2.6 version to check.

Thanks.

  1. Add "--" at the beginning of the line starting with "dofile", which I believe is from iControl DCS.
  2. Save Export.lua.
  3. Launch DCS and see if our FPS are still capped.
--dofile(".\\A10VCServer\\Main.lua") --A10VCHook

Thank you so much Flappie!!! What is this Setting?

Cheers!

You're welcome. 😀

This line comes form the "A-10C Virtual Cockpit Free" (more info here). Adding "--" in front of the line have deactivated the mod. So it seems your FPS issue came from this mod. Are you still using it?
