scottysonfire Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Sorry for this silly question, but I was doing the training tutorial for firing mavericks from the A-10 and teh tutorial freaks out before it explains how to use the TV/IR guiding system. How do you zoom in and out on the TV monitor? whick keys do you use? I cant find it on my key cards or in the options menu. Thanks to anyone who finds the time to help me out quickly. 159th_Viper Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 (edited) MFD Zoom + Keypress [=] MFD Zoom - Keypress [-] For a comprehensive list of Key Inputs, navigate to your LockOn/Doc folder :) And yes, IIRC only the D-Mav has Zoom capability (From default 3x to 6x)........ urze Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 (edited) Hi Scottysonfire My advice: You have to play the Training missions on a vanilla LockOn install if you want to Play them properly. You can have separate installations of LockOn and FlamingCliffs. Edit: are you the Instructor of the Falcon "Art of the Kill" video? :D >>>http://video.google.de/videosearch?q=Falcon%20%22Art%20of%20the%20Kill%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:de:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wv# Edited October 9, 2008 by urze Leftside Limited - ideas and solutions
scottysonfire Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Thanks Viper so are you saying that only the IR variant of the Mav missile has the zoom function? And the optical version doesnt have zoom? Because Ive been pressing the hell out of the = and - keys and its not doing anything to the TV monitor. Can you tell visibly which Mav variant the A-10 is carrying when you switch to external view? Ive noticed some Mavs are white and some are green. which is which? "I feel the need..."
169th_Bat Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Hi Scotty, If memory serves me correctly I do believe that there is no zoom on the TV version. Someone may correct me on that one though. I notice you are from Cape Town. Had some good drinking sessions over there. "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few". - Sir Winston Churchill 1940.
scottysonfire Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Thanks Bat Mayeb somebody else can confirm what youve said. So youve been to Cape Town! Nice... i trust you had a good time? Were you here in the summer by any chance? Summer is on the way here at the moment... the daylight hours keep getting longer and the skirts keep getting shorter! "I feel the need..."

Ive noticed some Mavs are white and some are green. which is which? Yes: IR and TV Seeker by default on 3x Zoom. I/R allows for further Zoom to 6x. When selected the TV display differentiates as to which Mav is selected - cannot miss it. I/R has the typical Gray/Green scale shades, whilst the other looks like a Black and White TV. And yes - External views are as you said. White for D's - Olive for K's.
