Lt_Jaeger Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 This time I did a recording (in VR - expect a lot of shakiness) of the mission 4. It is known to Reflected that there is a mix-up with the radios, and he already announced a fix. Other than that, there are some self-made hick ups, especially me trying to land. This time I had huge problems to bring the Bird down. The reaction of the TF-30 is so different from the B model engines, that I got a couple of wave offs before I was able to bring her down, kind of. I believe the engagement part is a Hollywood tribute again, but I'm not sure. I would have done it different, but I'm not sure if it would break triggers. I had a first "try" where I was trying to figure out why nobody was talking to me and where I had to interrupt the session due to real life issues, but there the mission flow was different and the engagement never happened. So I guess it's a good idea to stick to the "expected" behaviors. 2
BoFrost Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Finally I could manage this mission too. Unfortunately needed more than one attempt, as I was struggeling with the Flares on the F-14. Have to do more reading how to programm them. However. I like this campaign very much !!. But one thing I was missing. Spoiler After the request for the flyby, and it was declined, I for sure did it nevertheless Then I waited for, maybe a radio call, saying I have to come to the Airboss, right after landing. I think that this is difficult to script with an Trigger, but would be nice System: Asus ROG STRIX X570 , Ryzen 9 5900X , ASUS ROG STRIX LC 240 , 64 GB GSkill 3200 Trident Z , Powercolor Red Devil RX 6900 XT , Running SSD only Input: Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog , Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals , Track IR 5, VoiceAttac with Vaicom Pro, HP Reverb G2 DCS Open Beta , Nevada NTTR Map, Persian Gulf Map , Syria Map, F-14 Tomcat , F/A-18C Hornet , F-16 Viper, AV-8B Harrier, Supercarrier
Reflected Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 @BoFrost hah, that's a good idea! I think in real life one of the deck crew would walk up to the plane and convey the message with hand signals - I read about this in Bio's latest book. Of course, they did not do a flyby, haha.
