Not that I'm complaining that much if this is how the jet actually was but I had a multiplayer game where I tried to land at least 10 times on supercarrier with only perhaps 2000Ib of fuel, 2 sparrows and 2 sidewinders on the plane and my guess is that the thing was simply too light to catch the hook. I was wondering if there is a "sweet" spot for fuel on board to make landing easier?
sLYFa Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Aircraft weight doesnt influence hook skipping. AoA and flightpath angle do so make sure the ball is centered and the AoA is at 15 units (yellow circle). IRL maximum landing weight for the carrier is 54000lbs. Golo Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Ive seen few hooks skips in MP, and I even saw one poor sod rip his hook off, so the new hook physics definitely works fine on my end. 1
Southernbear Posted July 1, 2021 Author Posted July 1, 2021 Unless either servers or the module has the option to turn off the hook being able to catch the wires without proper communications, because I typically never bother with that as I just use SRS if I really need to tell people on the deck that I'm landing. Because it wasn't catching it even with me going out of my way to get a 'perfect' landing by my standards

It would be helpful if you had some video to share.
