No it is not pintless. it`s just a reminder that we are here and we stand buy the promise that the Russian dload version will be released on or soon after the 17 Oct.

It is pointless becasue this is the third thread on the same subject on the first page of this forum.... The scroll wheel is a beautiful thing so please use it to find another thread discussing this issue and then add to that thread instead of creating a new one on the exact same topic.

ED know everybody is chewing on their fingernails because they are waiting for the download version. So what? If it takes time, it takes time. Realise that everybody else apart from you is waiting just as curiously as you are and shouting out "when?" every five minutes is just a nuisance to the whole forum.

It's great to have forums, but the amount that we feel we're entitled to is getting a little out of hand. As it's been stated before it'll be ready when it's ready. There's a reason it's taking a bit of time, and i'd rather ED guys be working on whatever reason that is than browsing the forms looking to answer everybody's question.

 

If you miss two days on this form it takes a long time to catch up. We've waited years, the fact that it's just around the corner should be enough.

 

I mean no disrespect, but I agree that it becomes pointless to see what appears to be "whining" (May NOT be, but it can be interpreted as such). Lets be men and be patient and wait until it's fully ready.

 

A watched pot never boils right? Well make plans, go to a movie, go to dinner, play sports, play LOMAC or FC.

You should also understand that this thing is not entirely in ED's hand at the moment, as they have a contract with 1C. That is also why there is so little information at the moment - quite frankly: They probably don't know for sure either.

 

So, let's all calm down, as hard as it seems, have a little patience and understanding. It makes waiting better for all of us, including ED and the moderators here.

I just want to know, if I buy a serial for RUS download edition, and can this serial number be used at the later Eng download edition.

 

I can't wait for couple months to reach the Eng download and if the serial for rus can be used for Eng edition. I will buy one and give it a try....

To answer your question: No this won't be possible, the russian and english versions are essentially different products and can not be activated with the same key.

I will admit, I'm probably one of the moe impatient forum members and yes there is another thread asking for an update that I started.

 

I can actually agree with every post in this thread both requesting more information AND the calls for patience.

 

However, all I think people want to know is some more information

"it will be ready when its ready" is perfectly understandable when software is in early development...just pop over to FO forum...plenty of those posts there.

 

I do not believe that is really an acceptable answer when the software has been released and being used, albeit in another country.

 

I'm not software programmer but surely the developers have an estimated timeline to do whatever work needs to be done to make the D/L version available.

 

Maybe the development team have completed their work and the decision rests with 1C?....if thats the case, fine, just say so!

 

I feel pretty sure the dev team and 1C must have lines of communication between them...so some offical view of when they plan to make it available doesnt seem to me to be unreasonable, whoever its from (Dev team or Distributors)

 

I think some on here are confussing the perception that we are banging our hands on the table saying ~"give me the software now".......which I'm certainly not

Well, as I posted earlier, they have a contract with 1C for distribution of the game, so it is no longer entirely their choice. And it's a bad habit of most resellers that they don't talk much about their ideas.

 

They hope we will get it this week, so let's hope for that, too.

Ironic that Nike-IT at 1C company actually says the game is not being distrubited outside Russia for now. Why can´t he write on his own forum that download will be allowed soon? Doesn´t 1C want to earn money? This is very very bad marketing. Just think of all the non-russians that will buy and download both the russian version and the western one. Saying you have to wait for western release is not very wise whan someone else says something else..

yeah i know, crash crash and some more crashing, but i just tried for a second to have a more romantic view of it in my head. I even saw a sundown (bloody red one) with maybe 4 of us in perfect formation low sniffing some forest, briefed up and ready to scout out our first targets... aah, i get tears in my eyes thinking of that, its so beautiful. :cry:
