Hi,

I have stumbled across a problem with the INS/Steer point System in the F16.

When starting in the F16 from cold and dark (with a load out of 4x aim 120c 6x agm 65d 2x fuel tanks 1x tgp) all of my steer points appear to be offset/misaligned. This almost appears as if the INS has slipped after take off.

This happens only after take off and it happens to both manual and pre planned steer points. On the ground the steer points appear in the HSD correctly but once airborne the are in the incorrect position.

I have replicated this with both stored heading alignment and full alignment completed successfully. I have also replicated this on Syria and Caucasus.

See attached photo of the image on HSD, apologies I don't have a track file or video.

I never noticed in the situations i had a bad alignment that it show the "original" location like in your screenshot.  To me it looks like a SPI slew of some sort

did you fiddle around with the TGP by any chance?

As @Falconeer mentioned, your SPI has been slewed. You can tell that from the HSD display as the cursor isn't aimed at the selected steerpoint. This means that you must have touched whatever you have bound to your cursor. This is incorrect functionality in multiple ways, but it's the current state of the DCS F-16. I just responded in another thread how to "reset" it. Here's the link!

The long cross on the HSD is SPI position. It's normal in some situations for SPI to be moved away from the destination like that. Without a track file or reproduction instructions it's unclear that this isn't normal behavior. It shouldn't be a fault with the INS because if INS was wrong then destination and SPI would both be shifted the exact same amount.

A track reproducing this behavior would be very helpful. It could just be a joystick with a slew control which needs larger deadzones.
