Hi All,

I have a multiplayer mission where I am choosing to have multiple mission specific kneeboards for pilots to use.

There is a overview page, theater reference page, and then specific pages that correspond to the various waypoints.

The issue is that I can't seem to control or influence what order or sequence the kneeboard pages appear for the clients. I've tried alph-numeric file names ( 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, kb-1.jpg, kb-2.jpg, etc.) and see no changes.

How are the files ordered?

Alphanumeric order, like this:

Within DCS the pages show up on this same order.

Its alphabetical in display order which is why I use a 4-digit format for my kneeboards. i.e. 7001-7199, that was 7010 is behind 7009. I can recommend the Microsoft PowerRename app as a way to do these quickly and also convert .PNG extentions to .png

Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J

Quick question regarding this: I am making a master kneeboard folder with several sub folders, so that depending on my requiremnts for each flight, I only have the pages I need to avoid scrolling through the whole lot. So I have the following sub sections: AA, AG, Avionics, Boat Ops, Formations & Turns, HARM & RWR, MDC, Plates, Checklists start/shutdown

When you say its alphabetical in display order, can you clarify, what it reads first, the letters or the number? I get that with the number if you have a lot of pages, they need to be a 2 or 3 digit number. I want the pages to display in a set order, say the order I listed my sub folders above. Could I have for example KB_AA_001, KB_Form_004, KB_Checklists_002 - which order would they display in?

System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.

Anyone know how to fast cycle through the kneeboard pages? Holding down [ and ] doesn't work

I use the Hotas’ software to achieve that effect.

I will research the software, but don’t completely understand how it would work if the keyboard controls won’t do it. Also, will the software mess with my existing DCS controller settings? Thanks!

Thanks, are you using the Thrustmaster Warthog? I hear some complaints about that software.

Hi, no, my hotas is a Thrustmaster cougar, it uses an earlier software.

The Thrustmaster software allows the hotas to behave like a keyboard. That way you can press a hat button and it will generate a series of ] keystrokes as long as you keep the button pressed. On my case it does not mess with dcs as it uses the exiting keyboard keybinds.
