What is Betty saying? and a couple other questions.

1.) Betty says something that I don't even want to try to explain, well ok something like (Shrew shre shreww shreww shrewww.) and this occurs mainly when I'm transitioning to hover. Any ideas what she is saying?

 

2.) Also why is there a delay between when the gunner opens the sight windows and when he actually has control over the sight? Is this just the way the system works?

 

3.) we are instructed to reset the radio control command circuitry between each missle being fired but I've yet to do this and it has never been an issue. Am i missing something or is this just not being implemented yet?

I hear that sentence too. I guess it may be "Gear down" warning.

2.) Yea I was wondering that too - I know ED have programmed in a 'delay' for Petro responses to mimic a RL person, but been watching Casmo fly the Hind with a RL gunner up front who opens the sight on turn-on and immediately goes to work finding targets etc. The huge wait for Petro to get his A into G is painful as you are flying in towards the AAA waiting for captain slow up front to sort his shite out lol.

Ok I bet that is correct, now that I think of the KA-50's  "Lower Gear". Thanks I think that one is answered.

Good Point VNZ, I don't think Petro has the delay when you are in the pilots seat, at least not as long as the delay when you are the Gunner it seems. There is a delay when selecting the ATGM pylon but perhaps this is part of the resetting of the radio control system. With the HIND utilizing a higher speed attack this delay makes it tough to engage more than one target per attack run.

The way I see it is that we're going to be light speed fast compared to any observer.  I set up almost all my front seat keybinds on my keyboard and can reference them rapidly.  The O key is pretty easy to find when you've been typing it in words since 1995.  A specific switch, somewhere off to your right, that you need to get perfectly and will probably have to look to double check that you're on the right one is going to take a little longer.  Nevermind nestling into that gunsight and getting your bearings, all while being jostled by the helicopter.

 

I'd say Petros slowness is only really obvious in comparison because we, as players, don't have to deal with all that pesky reality crap.  

 

As for any words spoken by Natasha, I just kind of always assume that if she's chatting and I'm not performing a cold start then something is broken or breaking and that death is coming soon after.
