Gun Jam Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Is this something that could happen or is this a DCS issue? One would click and hold on the mirror then drag the mouse up or down to adjust mirror angle. This would help with giving a bit better view of the wings to help with speed and aoa judgements.
G.J.S Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 (edited) Velocity and AoA can be gleaned from the panel. Even if you can’t see the speed readout - excess buffeting and slow control response will indicate you are rather slow, so get a few more knots on the airframe. Aside of ‘maybe’ checking visible topside for damage, the only other utility that RVM’s provide is viewing any close in rear cone threats, but that would only really be of any use if you are concentrating on a tgt in front of you - say in close ACM - but then if you are sandwiched, you are not too far away from becoming wreckage anyway. Much better to keep your head on a swivel. BUT - moveable mirrors would be a good idea. Kula66 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 For me at least, mirrors have a big hit, so maybe being able to go with just the center would be good. Plus I never use the left and right
Breakshot Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 +1 on adjustable mirrors!Given that ED cockpit head positions are completely incorrect with a neck about 2m long. The mirrors are totally angled off. There should be a way to at least tweak them in some file or something Отправлено с моего STV100-2 через Tapatalk Tim "Breakshot" Mytrofanov | C.O. of 51 ПВО / 100 КИАП Regiments | twitch.tv/51breakshot
