I've included logs as well as the files the error message mentions dcs.log dcs.log.old debrief.log ~mis00003EFB.lua ~mis00001CFD.lua

It seems the mis.lua files in this temp folder are related to the dcs liberation campaign mission generator so I may need to ask them but wanted to check here first.

Mike_CK Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I’m having this exact issue…but what lines do I “comment out”….and why do I have to liberation was running fine until DCS 2.8 update. Now, when I’m in DCS ME and I run the liberation mission, i get a “lay scripting error” and a message about missing things. The mission will play but a lot of the AI planes just orbit ive tried copying the missionlua file from liberation and pasting over the file in my DCS scripts folder but no luvk

Just try to reinstall to see if during installation there are some action on scripts that was deleted by the update. Mike_CK Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 It had to do with the IADS script. I tried it without selecting IADS and it worked fine. There was an issue with flights circling/holding at waypoint one indefinitely as well but that was (hopefully) addressed in a liberation 5.2.1 patch today

From what I can see before do statement, you're running Slmod right? Slmod replace on each start the default Scripts\MissionScripting.lua with their custom one.
