Double Dutch Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 (edited) Hi, I was configuring my hotas and wanted to allocated a toggle switch for turning on the lights. Then I got confused by external lights vs taxi lights. What is the difference? ----- I have a switch which I have given 2 options, to fold wings and unfold wings. There are a lot of fold wing options for the FA-18. Which Can I use to fold -unfold? Edited July 22, 2021 by Double Dutch ----- Don't practise till you got it right. Practise till you don't do it wrong

Hulkbust44 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Hi, I was configuring my hotas and wanted to allocated a toggle switch for turning on the lights. Then I got confused by external lights vs taxi lights. What is the difference? ----- I have a switch which I have given 2 options, to fold wings and unfold wings. There are a lot of fold wing options for the FA-18. Which Can I use to fold -unfold?So the Taxi light is on the nose wheel strut. Only one T handle switch controls it. It is shut off automatically when the gear is retracted. I wouldn't worry about binding it, just click it.The other lights are formation, position (or navigation), and strobe. The position lights are on a knob outboard of the throttle. These are your red and green lights on the wings and such. The formation lights are to be used at night and are larger blue light bars on the side of the fuselage and tail. These have a knob next to the position lights. The strobe light is the flashing one at the top of the vertical stabilizers. There is a toggle control on the throttle that affects all of the lights except the taxi light. This is the only one I would bother binding. The thing with the wing fold is that you need to pull the handle out first, then it can be rotated to the other two positions. I do have this bound, but never use it. Just use your mouse.Mobius708 1
