Hi,

For the past few weeks DCS has been crashing when I am on multi-players mode. I've had either a Time Out warning, or Windows return.

I have enclosed the DCS log in copy. For info, everything is up to date (Windows, graphical card etc). I also delete internal metashaders2 and fxo files every time, however DCS keeps crashing. Thanks for your help!

Hi, thanks for the log. It looks like you're getting many device plugged and unplugged messages. You can try ensuring that all of your USB devices are seated properly and by disabling hot plug, which can be done found in the autoexec.cfg in C:\Users\Your User\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta. Inside make sure it looks like this: no_device_hotplug = true. Alternatively you can do this through the control settings GUI.

Yes, it is normal. This file doesn't exist by default. It helps tweaking DCS when needed.

  1. Go to Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/Config.
  2. Create an empty file name "autoexec.cfg".
  3. Open it within Windows notepad editor and paste this: no_device_hotplug = true
  4. Save.

Thx for your reply.

But I still have the same problem 🤬  When I am on multiplayer, I experienced a lot of "Time out" warning. Any clue why ? I am desperate...

Please find enclosed the last DCS log.

You seem to have some network issue. See this message:

2021-08-23 19:08:02.759 ERROR NET: HTTP request dcs:logbook:events?protocol=4&hmac=j2pQgyAuYlMGXBlLe0LHkI6B1vV9msNUIrX--cUnSxk&multiplayer=1&version=2.7.5.10869 failed with error 6: Couldn't resolve host name

This may be caused by antiirus software (360 Total Security, Avast,...) or firewalls. Sometimes, it's a QoS setting to change on one's router.

Do the timeouts appear regularly, after the same duration of play?

What are your antivirus/firewall software?

Is Windows autotuning enabled? (it should read "standard")

Hi Flappie,

Yes it seems there is no more "Time out"

On top of that I opened ports via my AntiVirus Kaspersky HTTPS 443 and HTTP 80.

Cheers
