Simple training mission to practice radar modes icw AMRAAM

Hello,

 

I am looking for a very simple training mission where I can practise the different radar modes and functionality within them without being shot at. Does anyone know where I can download one?

Have you tried the AMRAAM training already in the sim? IIRC it covers a pretty good bit.

you  can  make  your  own in   mission editor    in  where  you  can set  the  enemy  ai  with  no  weapons

here's a simple mission i use for radar testing.  you'll have a bunch of harmless su-25s doing airshow maneuvers

PFFF I wanted to try the RWS-STT mode and the TWS mode and it was a disaster. Yes I did shoot lots of non fighting planes out of the sky but god is it hard to lock one.

 

First:

- I set the settings for the AMRAAM to SML - SML for shooting SU-25s

- I fly towards them Left DDI AZ/EL (so I can see what height the locked plane is and keep my radar pointing at it), Right DDI A/A Radar en AMPCD on SA

 

So I see several hostile (red) little diamonds. I mode my TDC to the closest and press it 2 times (first press is for LTWS) second it goes into STT mode. I see the Diamond on my HUD and fly towards it, approx 20 miles out. Issue here... it disappears on me (but I am flying straight for it, so my radar should find it?) It pops on my DDI again and I select it again (press the TDC 1 or 2 times). Sometimes it stays locked and I can get into range, sometimes it disappears again and I have to go through the motions again.

- can't believe this is the way to go.

After I fire my missile, I press undesignate and go for the next but by that time it's almost not BVR anymore.

 

 HELP!!

 

I also have the idea that my HAFU's are all 3/4 size which means I means my radar is not responsible for the data???
