My game crashes when i crash in the sea.

I do my best not to crash at all but its annoying the whole game crashes when i crash (no crash report).

I know ED is doing their best to make the game as realistic as possible but this is just nuts 😉

Anyone else experiencing this crash?

Im flying multiplayer PVE servers.

Hi,

please include the crash zip folder from your saved games dcs log folder, it will help us.

thanks

I'll check it out.

Even though i get no crash report message it still makes one?

I just shut off the pc.

There was no zip file.

I'll check for that file you mentioned tomorrow.

The .crash file is just a small part of the dcs.log file. It doesn't help much on its own.

Try running a DCS "slow" repair: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/repair/#2463807

There was a log file but that said it was an old one with a date of the day before the crash

This is the most recent zip file i've got.

But i dont think this one will say anything about my crashes cause everytime when it happens i see there is no zip/log being created.

Indeed, this zip shows a crash happening during DCS startup.

If you get no zip when the crash happens, then maybe it's more a freeze than a crash. When a freeze happens, the log file (dcs.log) ends abruptly. The next time it happens to you, attach your dcs.log file  (may appear as"dcs", from the same Logs folder).

Thanks for responding guys.

I did have a few crashes on startup. Must be the zip i sended. Those do give me the traditional log report screen.

They dont bother me on startup.

The crashes/ freezes after a long flight multiplayer do bother me.

It indeed does look more like the game freezes.

Instantly when hitting the water the screen freezes, but only when im still in the plane, when ejected it doesnt happen.

Input software?...

I installed the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS software on arrival, named 'Target' if i remember correctly, but havent used it since.

Not sure if its needed to use the set.

And using VR, Oculus Rift S.

Im on holiday for the coming 2 weeks.

Will check for files after freeze when in back home.

Just read the F14 patch notes and saw the crash in sea bug/freeze has been fixed.

Thanks HB!
