Boberro Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) For now it is, I quote: KRASNODAR, November 4 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's armed forces plans to buy up to 12 Ka-52 Hokum-B combat/reconnaissance helicopters in 2009, the Russian Air Force Commander Col. Gen. Alexander Zelin said on Tuesday.and lower: "We plan to buy up to 12 Ka-52s in 2009[...]"Still it is only plan. Possibility :) But hope it will be truth. Edited November 5, 2008 by Boberro Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Heatseeker2K3 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Doubt they can get their hands on specs/data to simulate it up to the level of the shark, or maybe they can but not distribute it. The alligator would be fun for MP (pilot/gunner) but for SP i'd rather take the shark instead of sharing the fun.
sobek Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 The FLIR and Radar suite of the Ka52 are classified for sure, so don't bet on it. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
RvETito Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Well according to the latest press release the serial production of the Ka-52 has been indeed started at the Arseniev factory. Some of them will use unfinished airframes of single seat Ka-50, plus few new built airframes. The single seat helicopter doctrine is already abandoned by the Russian armed forced though the 8-10 serial Ka-50's will remain in service. I doubt we'll see the Ka-52 in DCS... "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
