spacefox Posted September 7, 2021 Posted September 7, 2021 Hi guys, Is it just me or is there something strange about default scale with M-2000 in VR? Everything looks tiny. Any way to help out? Thanks, spacefox Specs: i7-5820K - 4.4 Ghz OC, 64GB Ram, RTX 2070 Super, Rift S

Any way to help out? You could try • Options > VR > Force IPD Distance, to scale the world. ... the higher the setting, the smaller the cockpit looks. So the realistic setting depends on you. By default it's the average human value: 63.5mm But anyway, the Mirage 2000 cockpit, is small. I did seat in it (Mirage 2000-5F) on the ground during airshow, and it was OK compared to VR, it was also the opinion of the fighter pilot who also occasionally use VR for training. Mirage fanatic ! Lt_Jaeger Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Nope the value in DCS is not the ipd but a rather bad name for a world scale adjustment. The ipd you have to set in your hmd, but the ipd in dcs enlarges or shrinks the whole dcs world. 2
spacefox Posted September 8, 2021 Author Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) What is the world scale "IPD" settings that you guys keep for the Mirage? or do you leave it on default for VR? I have been reading about 50 or 55? just wondering what you guys use. Edited September 8, 2021 by spacefox Specs: i7-5820K - 4.4 Ghz OC, 64GB Ram, RTX 2070 Super, Rift S

And it is well known, Its not IPD but World Scale option. Lt_Jaeger Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 I'm not using the mirage but it never felt off during the free trials I tried her. What I check in vr is the size of the stick. I compare this to my joystick and by that determine if the "scale" is OK. I only fly the F-14 and sometimes a Warbird. I got the vkb F-14 Grip and the KG-12. Peaking thrue my hmd I find that both are spot on with the default setting. 1
jojo Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 In VR, with 3D pilot, the shoulders match mine IRL. So it's OK. I also sat in cockpit during the airshow, and yes, it's tinny.
