PathTracer Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Hi all! This is my first post here. I've started the DCS adventure a month ago and I really love it. The P-51D is such a nice experience BUT, I've noticed some serious bugs/problems personally that were confirmed once I've started reading this forum. I don't see any news and updates since a while. Just a question for the dev team: When do you think we would get some official fixes for this airplane? Thanks in advance! 4 AMD RYZEN 5950X, 128GB RAM, RTX 3080, NVMe Drives, TH Warthog, Windows 10 64bit. grafspee Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 @PathTracer ED said recently that primary focus after Mosquito release will be bug fixing. 2 1 System specs: I7 14700KF, Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite, 64GB DDR4 3600MHz, Gigabyte RTX 4090,Win 11, 48" OLED LG TV + 42" LG LED monitor
Art-J Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 @PathTracer Welcome to DCS and to ED forums. As for your question - you'll never get answers re. bugfixing plans from the devs, apart from rather vague statements that things are being worked on, or are to be worked on somewhere in the unspecified future. But then, we're not shareholders to be given detailed business info. If you stick around for some time, you'll notice that all modules in DCS are in a constant state of 80-90% module features working mostly as they should, and the rest stuck in neverending state of being bugged or not implemented. Bugs tend to be fixed after a couple of weeks, or couple of months, or a couple of years (literally), or never, depending on bug severity and priority on the ED to-do-list (which is a size of an iceberg itself). Moreover, new game updates always bring some new bugs to add to, or replace the old ones. That's just how DCS has been working for years and If you decide that the amount of fun you're getting from it is still a fair return of your money investment, you'll just have to get used to the way things are. To sum it up - enjoy what works awesome in your newly purchased DCS module, help with reporting discovered bugs in relevant sections of the forum (if they hadn't been reported already), be pleasantly surprised whenever bugs are fixed, don't be surprised when they aren't. That's that. 2 i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

That's that. Thanks for your honest reply! I've understood how ED's system works and is clear to me. Some bug are ok, we can live with them, while some others are impacting seriously the fun part of the game. Anyway, be positive and accept the situation is ok and normal.
