TOViper Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) Shouldn't the range marks for minimum and maximum launch range be shown in white color instead of the dark grey? I think this is additional information shown dynamically, depending on the radar range currently set, so I would assume this ... OB 2.7.5.10869 What do you guys think / know about? QuiGon Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 It has been white in the past (07:42 in the video). Not sure why it was changed. MYSE1234 Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Pretty sure that should be black/grey. There are a few illustrations with them dark and the horizon line and all that white. All things dark is drawn by the radar (electron)gun, so while it draws the radar returns, it also does the distance and angle lines. 1 Viggen is love. renhanxue Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 (edited) I agree with MYSE1234; the SFI seems to indicate that the range markers are written with the same electron beam as the radar image itself, so they should be black/grey (as opposed to the symbol beam which leaves a white image). WarbossPetross Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Does that mean I can actually fly Viggen now? Because I couldn't see white lines on that green display if my life depended on it!

There are still white lines for navigation (waypoints and such), just the range marks for the RB-04 have been changed to black ~2 years ago. The white lines are much more visible than the black lines though. WarbossPetross, this is especially true if you'd fly in VR. On my Rift CV1 I have a hard time seeing them, but on the other hand ... I know where they are and got used to this glitch (as for many other small glitches) If you have your attack point (M.) on the ships, you can rely on the range indicator on the upper right corner of the instrument panel. I think the HUD range bar also works in ANF mode. "Subsonic is below Mach 1, supersonic is up to Mach 5. Above Mach 5 is hypersonic. And reentry from space, well, that's like Mach a lot."
