Tank50us Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Seeing the bit about the IHADS for the upcoming Apache, one thing I think would be nice to have for those us who lack VR or a reliable Track IR, is a way to track targets in the cockpit. My only caviat is that it should only work when you could actually 'see' the target normally, as in, you can't look through the floor, seat, or console of the aircraft. What do you guys think? Is this something that could be viable for those on a tighter budget?
Iron Sights Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 I'm sure you would be able to pan the view with a four way button, if you didn't have VR or Track IR.

Harker Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the "padlock" command do exactly that? Maybe without the correct limitations, but IIRC, you can padlock an air or ground target. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. IIRC, it won't work if you have any sort of headtracking running. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. Locks your view to a designated target more or less in the fashion you're describing. It's been a staple of combat flight sims since 3d cockpits became a thing, so roughly 20-25 years. They usually cut off if the target is too far away or remains out of sight long enough. Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2
