Viper refuses to start with Warthog Throttle and Stick

This is making me very frustrated. Recently(2 weeks ago) i got a Warthog hotas and ever since my viper refuses to start. either jfs doesnt change anything, keybinds wont work, changing/removing throttle cutoff wont work, refueling wont work.
Is this a known bug or is there fix?
its making me very angry
id like to add I have not changed my startup routine at all. the only change was my warthog and the recent updates

Are you using this feature? If so, please try to disable it.

 

 

You should also look for conflicting axis in your Control options.

 

And last important thing, F-16C module has two different set of controls: "F-16C Sim" (sim mode) and "F-16C_50_easy" (arcade mode). Please ensure you're setting your custom controls in the expected set.

No, i am not using that, i have specifically disabled. I have always used Sim, and I have tried to unbind the cutoff if it was having issues. So far it hasn't worked.

Do you have the same issues with other aircraft? Can you give the Su-25T a try for instance?

Everything else works perfectly fine, especially the hawg. Cutoff works great, idle works great, and in general i have had zero problems with my setup except for the viper

An immediate thought is that there might be some other axis or button press that is interfering and which constantly pegs the throttle to the off position. Have you checked, not just the throttle itself and its axis assignments, but every other device so they're not contradicting it in some way?

@Vapor175I see. Then maybe your F-16 files are broken somehow?

 

You should uninstall the F-16 module then reinstall it.

And if that is not enough, rename your "Saved Games\DCS...\Config\Input\F-16C_50" folder, so the game cannot find it. Then see if default F-16 controls work with the TM Warthog.

Neither option changed anything. I'll try what @Flappie said and reinstall the viper and see what happens. Ty for your help so far tho!

Now my viper wont redownload... Attached is the log. I have a solid connection and everything should be working fine but it wont go. I'll try again later but i dont think its a server issue...

Ran the uninstaller. I did have avast a while back but i "removed" it before i got dcs and havent had an issue yet. Im going to restart my pc and reboot the wifi in the meantime, we'll see how it goes

Both didnt work... Could it be Windows Defender or whatever its called?

You can add DCS as an exception to Windows Defender. It won't hurt. See if this helps.

It did! Now lets see if reinstalling the viper fixed the issue

Not even renaming the file worked. Any other suggestions? Im going to run skatezillas repair tool and see if it fixes anything...

I also moved the other throttle profile from the folder in case that was somehow the issue...

By refusing to start, you mean during a cold start?

If so, I've found that I've had to recently change my cold start a little.  Previously, I'd turn on the battery power, hit the "crank engine", slide the throttle forward into idle, and then whilst the engine is spooling up, warm up various electrical systems.

The above now leaves the engine sat at a max of 20% and it simply refuses to do better.

 

Now, what you have to do is:

 - Battery on

 - Crank engine, then WAIT until the engine revs are at 20%

 - Slide the throttle forward into the idle position and then wait until your revs are at 60% before you turn anything else at all on.  If you do start powering up other displays, the engine simply won't increase in revs, so be patient

 - Once the engine reaches 60%, then continue with your normal cold start

I will try that. Your previous is exactly what i was doing although i have tried to wait a bit more for around 20% before idle to no avail...

Removing the other file worked! I will make sure i wait until 20% aswell but it wasn't the issue. Ty @Flappie and @Mr_sukebe for your help!

The other config file for a previous hotas i had. Removing it fixed the issue! Apologies for the late reply
