Bouli306 Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Pressing the Emergency jettison button should jettison the TER (if carried of course). Seems that the SIM only ejects the bombs from the TER. Also as mentioned before the pylon of the Pylon tank is connected to the tank itself and should also 'leave' the aircraft when jettisoned. 2
Geraki Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) Correct in emergency Jettison both fuel tanks and pylons should jettison , as per real . https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcsef.ru%2Fmedia%2Farticles%2F4361%2F4361.pdf The issue occurred in the last update , DCS 2.7.6.13436 Open Beta Simple select instant action , takeoff , and emergency jettison the payload , only the fuel tanks from station 4&6 are jettison not the TER too. When you push emergency jettion button. Edited October 20, 2021 by Geraki

pchRage Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 @BIGNEWY Can you please clarify if the pylons should/will separate with the wing tanks? thx!
NorgeNate Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 External wing tanks and their pylons are a single unit and are not separated except when in the fuel barn for inspection. They also jettison as a single unit not unlike the photo above of the F-22. Having the jet spawn with these pylons on and no tanks makes my left eye twitch something fierce... 1 System Specs: Virpil WarBRD Base, Virpil Mongoose T-50CM stick w/Virpil desk mount, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS w/Virpil desk mount, MFG Crosswind RP, TrackIR 5, Stream Deck 32, Windows 11 Home 64-bit, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB DDR4 3600, Asus X570 TUF Gaming Pro WiFi MoBo, XFX RX 6800 XT Merc 319, 2x Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD, 1TB Toshiba HDD 7200rpm, 2TB WD Blue HDD 5400rpm, 1TB WD Black 750 NVMe M.2 SSD, No Optical drive, Onboard Audio + Avid Eleven Rack Audio Interface.

I can relate, but Wags did mention fixing this in the a F-16 roadmap post not long ago calling it "Wing Fuel Tank Pylon Jettison Correction".
