artifacting with water on medium or high - Reverb G2

So I have been testing different settings for days with in game and steamvr settings to figure out both the crashing issue of steamvr and the artifacting issue like you see in the video link. This is a google drive link so no way to embed it like youtube videos I guess. Anyway, it seems that my crashing issues are fixed now for no apparent reason. My artifacting issues seem to be isolated to the water settings. On low it seems to be fine and I do not see the white flashing artifacts in the video as I get close to the carrier. Soon as I set it to medium or high water then it comes back.

Has anyone else seen issues like this? I have cleared shadders several times and done repairs with no improvement to the artifacting. Could an nvidia setting be a cause for this?

It also doesn't mater if motion vector is on or off and same with motion smoothing. Makes no difference.

No I run high and recently tested on medium water and didn’t get an artefacts, as you described… are you over clocking your card?

I tried it with and without an OC on the card and it does it on medium or high. Never used to do this until after the last DCS update. I was always running a 1000mhz OC on the memory and a 105mhz OC on the GPU core clock with maxed out voltage and never had any issues like this.

I did actually experience a couple of SteamVR crashes yesterday, which is quite unusual for my rig, but they were both immediately after I installed shader mods and have not reoccurred so I put it down to that.

Ya I had the Keg shader mod but removed it thinking it was causing my issues. I just deleted the entire bazar folder and repaired DCS. Still got the crashes and artifacting. I still have one shader mod running for just sharpening. Neither shader mod was causing issues i think and everything was fine before the last update. I think my next step may be to delete saved game folder since that often fixes a lot of weird issues. It could also be the DCS update not playing nice with a recent windows update on my system and corrupt registry. I have had to reinstall windows in the past after bad windows updates causing performance issues and chasing my tail for hours or days trying to fix them when I could have just started over fresh and saved a lot of time. Sometimes the nuclear options is the best.
