I watched Wag's recent video on bullseye references to bearing and range information depending on whether the FCR or HSD was the SOI and what the cursor was tagging.  His explanations were very confusing and I would appreciate if someone could clarify the bearing/range information for me on the FCR and HSD.  I created a simple mission with the Bullseye at WP 1, but I was still confused.

Also, I could not get the little circle for bearing/range in the lower left corner of the FCR.

The "W" marker in the corner shows when BE isn't selected. To select BE display press ICP LIST, 0-MISC, 8-BULL and then 0-M SEL to highlight the word BULLSEYE between the *s. The *s should be around the word to start with but if not use DCS up/down to move the *s. To deselect do the same thing and M SEL (mode select) button will toggle the highlight off

To get the little circle in the lower left corner of the FCR or HSD page, on your ICP pannel press List then M-Sel then 8 then M-Sel again.

When you do that, you will see some numbers above, those are the Bullseye to the cursor position on your FCR, when you TMS UP on a contact it will still show the cursor bullseye info, but when you TMS UP (single target track) again, it will shot bullseye position of tat buged contact.

Hope this helps.

Frederf and Furiz:

I missed the step to highlight the word bullseye.  Now it works.  Thanks.

So I set up a little mission with the following situation:

WP 1 is bullseye.   I am flying north and the WP/BE is north of me.  The bad guy is somewhere between BE and me.

With no bug, the numbers in the lower left is 27/168.  I assume that this means that FROM BE TO ME  it is 27 miles on a bearing of 168 from BE to me.  The other numbers on the middle left of the FCR is 167/07 and I assume that this means that FROM BE TO THE CURSOR is on a bearing of 167 and 7 miles.

When I bug the bad guy, the numbers on the left side  changes to 168/19 and I assume that this means FROM BE TO BUG the bad guy is on  a bearing of 168 from BE to the bad guy with a range of 19 miles.  The numbers at the bottom left did not change.

Please correct any errors.

That is correct.

When you single target track (2x TMS UP) the the bulls shown is no longer on the cursor but on the bugged target.

By default the mission BE is loaded as STPT 25 in your system and it's selected as the BE by default. You don't have to put a specific flight plan steer over the BE. If you want to have BE reference a different number then that's changeable.

The white numbers on the lower left corner of a display are the FCR cursor position. That doesn't matter if you have a target locked or not. When locked consider that cursors are on the FCR target, just hidden. The white numbers on the lower right corner of a display are HSD cursor position. HUD lower left and display lower left (blue) is your position.
