brucewhf Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Thrustmaster T16000 is perfect on desktop, no stand is needed. Is winwing joystick suitable for desktop?
MustangSally Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 (edited) The Winwing Orion is designed for desktop use. Go and have a look on the Winwing website. https://wwsimstore.com/STORE Edited November 23, 2021 by MustangSally Ryzen 9 7950X3D - MSI MAG X670E TomaHawk MB, ASUS ROG Ryujin III 360 AIO 64gig Corsair DDR5@6000, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 AORUS Winwing Super Taurus, Orion2, TO / Combat panels, Collective with Topgun MIP Winwing Skywalker pedals, NLR Boeing Mil Edition Simpit, 55" Samsung Odyssey Ark, Trackir
Rubber Biscuit Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 (edited) The Winwing Orion will sit higher on the desk then the Thrustmaster, I found it a little to high to be comfortable so i made some desk clamps to lower the Orion HOTAS. There are other HOTAS desk top clamps you can purchase to do the same thing. I also found that the Orion needs to have a secure mounting, more than the suction cups that come with the Orion. That all said i found the Orion a huge upgrade over the Thrustmaster T16000 HOTAS, ps: I have hade 5 Thrustmaster T16000 joysticks fail on me over the last 3 years, all in the twist function. Chris P Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 I used it on my desk for about a week, and like other hotas' on the desk, it kills my shoulders, so I got the Meza Desk Mounts and it is so much more comfortable. Easy use clamps for on and off. 1 Chris P 'Nascar' Raleigh NC [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
