  1. Does anyone know a LUA hack to help this? In the PG during the day the HUD and the HMD both are so washed out that they become mostly useless. This seems especially unreal on the HMD since it's projected onto a tinted visor which you would think be unaffected by the outside light.
  2. You have more luck than me. I jump to the backseat to land it and it immediately starts spinning and then I flop on my side to flap around like a dying fish.
  3. Here is a copy of the ones I used until I upgraded to the WW Orion. These were modified from one I found from Rudel. Included the keyboard bind lua. Foxy F-18.zip
  4. I repurposed a lot of my buttons and have one set up as parking brake rotate and one as push/pull.
  5. Did you get an answer to this? I'm using a single 5760 x 1080 screen and have this for the GUI section: GUI = { x = screen.width/3; y = 0; width = screen.width/3; height = screen.height; } UIMainView = GUI
  6. I used it on my desk for about a week, and like other hotas' on the desk, it kills my shoulders, so I got the Meza Desk Mounts and it is so much more comfortable. Easy use clamps for on and off.
  7. Is there some instruction somewhere on how to do this? I'd love to be able to use my WW lights with the UFC, but can't now because of the LUA conflict.
  8. That's disappointing to know, I was going to look at SimShaker for a Xmas present for myself.... Maybe we can get some resolution on this one day. Dev seems to have been away for a while.
  9. Has anyone using a WInwing Orion gotten it to cooperate with the UFC app? I had to comment out the WW stuff from the Export.lua to get the UFC to work, but now the A/G - A/A lights and panel light rotary don't work. I'm hoping there's a way to have both...
  10. Hello, I started out with the AOA Indexer to see if I'd have any problems with the UFC prior to purchasing it and I have the same issue as above with the Winwing wwtexport.lua. I commented out the two lines and can get the AOA indexer to work, but is there a way to make it compatible with your script so I can use both? I'd still like to be able to control my Orion's lights. Either way, now that I have this working, I'll be getting the UFC app. Thanks! pcall(function() local pw=require('lfs');dofile(pw.writedir()..[[Scripts\pw-dev_script\ExportInit.lua]]); end, nil); --local wwtlfs=require('lfs') --dofile(wwtlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/wwt/wwtExport.lua') local vaicomlfs = require('lfs'); dofile(vaicomlfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\VAICOMPRO\VAICOMPRO.export.lua]])
  11. This works perfectly with the Orion Throttle and the Meza table mounts.
  12. Interesting, did all the buttons work?

    Ordering

I ordered at the end of May and got it in 6 days (US) via FedEx. Can't recall when the confirmation came but was pretty soon after I ordered.
  14. Ended up going with the Meza table mounts with the 90 degree usb cable for the throttle. I did have to screw the board down across my desk, but I don't move it anyway, so not a big deal. So far, much more comfortable that up on the desk. The Meza mounts seem to be just about the same construction as the Monstertech, but with shipping ended up being over 100 dollars cheaper. Thanks to all for the advice!

    SIMAPP Pro Setup

Yeah, that's the unfortunate thing. Since I've taken the time to already program everything thru DCS, I'm not going to switch to a different profile, I was looking for some guidance on assigning, say Ctrl F12 to one of the buttons to re-center my TrackIR. It’s just not intuitive enough to figure out (at least for me, and I got decent at Foxy programming for my old Cougar). Someday I'll have time to dig and try to work it out. Maybe Joy2key is the answer.

    SIMAPP Pro Setup

I haven't gone beyond assigning buttons to actions in DCS, but I assume that you can also assign keystrokes to buttons on the Orion? I looked for some info, but documentation for SimApp Pro is pretty non-existant. Does anyone have a link to share?
  17. Has anyone had any luck mapping the heading and course knobs to work? Right now I just have have the push function to the left push to activate it. Can't find a way to use the twist knobs to change the values.
  18. Not really. They lock together fine, but one of the holes is offset so that the right side is slightly behind the left. If you look at them from above, the backs of each should line up, but they are slightly off. i may take it apart one more time tomorrow to see if I had something screwed in the wrong place, but I did a quick check when I noticed it the first time and it looked like it was assembled correctly.
  19. Just got mine yesterday. Have a couple of hours in DCS with it and it is much better than my 15 year old TM Cougar. Smooth and for the most part works out of the box. There are some switches that I can't figure out how to configure in DCS (hdg and crs buttons, and the parking brake..) but my only real beef is the SimAppPro is not really intuitive. I want to assign some keyboard commands to some buttons, which I think is the Virtual Device Mapping section and I just can't figure out what the program is asking me, and there is zero documentation included with it or online that I can find. The stick and throttle themselves seem to be pretty well built; all metal. I do have one issue with the throttle sync lock - it seems one of the holes is slightly off from where it should be and my throttle halves do not quite match up. They're offset front to back by about 1/8 of an inch. Doesn't really affect anything, but you can feel it in your hand. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it and would recommend it for the price. FedEx from China to the US was $82, so be aware, but mine got here 6 days after I ordered it, so at least I wasn't waiting for 2 months like I did for my SSD a year ago...
  20. Thanks for the info! I'm looking at the Monstertech center chair mount and figured I'd set it to drop down and get the extension for the most realism. Good luck with your stand!
  21. Does anyone know if the Super Libra stick extension works with the Orion? Says SL only, but didn't know if that just hadn't been updated on the website. TIA
  22. That's nice, but I work all day at this desk as well, so I'm really looking at the Monstertech chair mounts so I don't have to remove everything from the desk to work.
  23. Thanks! That's a big help. Was just starting to do some checking on the Monstertech stuff and glad to see a positive review. Now if FedEx will just get there with my Orion.....
  24. Thanks, I asumed that was the case, though actually coming from a 15 year-old TM Cougar. I'll prob just start with screw mount to my desk, but have been looking at the Monstertech chair mounts. Looks like a more comfortable solution than desk mounted; my arms get tired... ☺
