Amarok_73 Posted December 3, 2021 Posted December 3, 2021 Hello, I have noticed, that to what I read in some old thread about countermeasures and Viggen, the AI planes don't require the countermeasure probe to be able to dispense chaffs. Is it bug, or Viggen have internal CM system? I think the MiG-21 has the same issue. Johnny Johnny Johnny Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 AI does also fire flares from 2 non existing pods too They also engage thrust reverser mid air , you can see the shield coming down in the rear , especially after they fire a weapon and do evasive actions
Northstar98 Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 It's an engine issue IIRC, the AI isn't able to use countermeasure pods. It's a similar case for buddy stores, which explains why the S-3B and S-3B tanker are separate entities, despite the latter just being the former with a buddy store. Yep, AI countermeasures is a universal LUA script somewhere in the game files. That's why they all have CM even if they "don't have CM" and all eject at the same rate, angle, quantity, etc. JustDCSThings™ Edited December 9, 2021 by Noctrach 1
