More ships period have been requested for a while now, ranging from both the small ships like the CSCG ships, all the way to the Iowa-Class. However, in the meantime some modders like @Admiral189 have been modeling these very ships and putting them in the game.

Ok. Thanks for the response.  When I see the Super Carrier Mod, I anticipate more ships would be forthcoming. When ED publicize new things, it is usually planes or choppers.

Is that so strange? I think most people still come to DCS for the "planes and choppers". Sure, more "other" assets would be great, but how many people will want to pay for those?

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if ED did some research on this and came to the conclusion that not many people want DLC asset packs, which would result in them having to develop "other" assets with the revenue they make on modules.

Anyways, stuff takes time @Mike Force Team. As you may or might not know, ED is a relatively small developer and their realism standard is extremely high, hence they can't/won't just pop out new objects/units without proper background research and use of officially declassified documents. Kinda like "do it right, or don't do it at all"

Although some here do think differently, only ED knows what's best for ED... If they don't focus/work on more maritime units (which perhaps they are without any of us knowing), they do so for a reason.

While I'd be happy to see more ships in DCS - why US coast guard? Since we don't have a map with US coast, what would be the point? Do USCG even operate outside US costal waters (I honestly don't know - anyone with better knowledge please educate me?). Or are you merely looking for a USCG skin?

IMO for DCS it would be better with some USNS (MSC) ships - i.e. fleet oilers, dry cargo/ammunition ships, submarine tenders, command ships etc.
