3XXX GPU Improvement for VR?

Hi,

I currently use a 2080TI GPU and performance is not great in VR, has anyone compared the newer 3XXX series cards for improvement assuming all other computer specs are the same?

I searched for this topic but couldn't find anything, I'm guessing there must be some discussion on it?

i jumped from a 2080ti to a 3080ti

performace gain.... yes but don't expect a big change

There will be a gain but not massive, dcs vr isn't so much about brute forcing FPS but finessing the settings to get an acceptable visual quality and frametime.

Using a 3070 (about the same as your 2080ti) I can get perfectly useable (for me) frametimes with a reverb g2. Note that I have spent time testing different setups to come up with what works for me.

You have to balance fast frametimes with visual clarity, for me visual clarity trumps all and I can happily accept frametimes up to 30ms (33 fps) with motion smoothing whereas some people can cope with nothing less than 16ms (60 fps).
