Petrovich helper interface (countermeasures settings and target selection, not heading/pitch) position in VR

Hello and Merry Christmas,

I have a problem with AI Helper Interface position (not heading rectangles but with countermeasures settings dialog below it) in VR. The dialog, while on attached screenshot from PC looks OK, in VR (on HTC Vive at least) is too low and fresnell lenses make it impossible to read. It's even worse with target selection - it's hard to spot the dialog itself, not mentioning the items on the target list.

Optimal position in VR would be to present the dialog exactly at the centre of the screen when helper interface heading/pitch rectangles are present

Is there a method to modify settings and target selection dialogs position?

It's about countermeasures settings, not heading/pitch/yaw rectangles.

I was able to modify countermeasures dialog position by editing:

DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Mi-24P\Cockpit\Scripts\HelperAI\HelperAI_page_common.lua

and modifying:

local compass_pos 	= {0, 0}

but what about target list, I'm not sure where I can find it.

 

Even better would be, if countermeasures and targets list would stay on the screen and not move with head movement in VR, it would be easier to adjust position to see them properly.

since last update, I can no longer see the aim marker for Petrovitch?

 

I used to pull it up ai helper now only the counter measure come on when I press the assigned key.

Wait, outside of AI menu, you press key to get AI menu and countermeasures menu shows up? That shouldn't be possible, because it takes 2 presses for that. Do you use any 3rd party programs to manage your bindings?

Anyway, check your bindings again, DCS updates are known to mess with settings

You can also run repair if everything else fails.

No it’s key bind single,  so the counter measure default has the same default so helper command so only the countermeasure comes on. Don’t know what they did last update.

so nothing is working on the petrovich side I mapped those keys and only gat the set up for counter messieurs how do I get the aim Petrovitch cross back?

What m4ti140 said, only in pilot tab it's called AI helper interface show/hide (default LCtrl+V)

TBH, if you didn't bind that before, I have no idea how you were able to bring up menu in the first place

That’s the way it was working before I would press hat and the crosshair would come on then I would hold down 2 seconds and the weapons part would say getting weapons ready, now it no longer works I had all on one pov, now not possible

Yes, you can. Use HAT down to activate weapons before activating AI menu. Use HAT right to activate deactivate AI menu (since it has no function in AI menu). Up and left are same functions as before.

I’m pretty sure her right does something in the countermeasure menu, I think short press changes sides and long press does something else

I thought that it will be ignored while in CM menu, just like you can use that same hat for something else when AI menu is off, but unfortunately, you are correct.

ok got it all on one hat, like some one said left pov, now the CMS panel in VR is messed up way to low.

I like to set up long cms launches 4x16 wish we had control of how fast though. and CMS chaff against those radar aaa out there in H4. that's where I do a lot of training.

I know what you mean. What I am saying that I know from my head how my hat is changing CMS. And you can see on top right of your FOV when you change something, you don't need to look at panel itself.

One way to change speed but not amount per second is to fire one burst from one side then switch to other side and fire another burst. This way you can also launch chaff and flare at same time. 
 

if it’s any consolation, the 4 second interval is wrong. When they stenciled the panel the designers had changed the interval from 4/8 seconds to 3/6 seconds. So shortest interval is 3 seconds
