Hey Guys,

is there any possiblility to force the AI JTAC to send a new CAS Tasking Mission via EPLRS after the first unit is destroyed? Because after the first Target JTAC just shifts but won´t send a new Message to the aircraft.

Any advise?

Not possible, unless you check out and in again with the JTAC.

Thanks, do you know why? It should be possible to implement that into DCS and into the F10 Menu i guess? An Entry that says "Send new target data" as far as EPLRS is activated?

How is it done in Real life? Is there also only one uplink?

Thank you for the reply 😃

I have no insight into the DCS code, but I would assume that this would be easy to add, but it simply hasn't been done.

IRL you can send data whenever you want, just like you can do yourself in DCS when flying the A-10C and sending a target message to your wingman.

My understanding is that there would be a talk-on. Once JTAC and pilot have established a picture of the target(s), the JTAC could simply talk the pilot onto the next target. It would take more time, and button presses, to send a new target via datalink.

Also, my understanding is that precise coords are hard to come by; the correlation is always done by talk-on anyway, so there would be little use in sending a new target over the datalink; and if that's done, they will still need to correlate and PID verbally to make sure that there's no system glitch, bit-fault or whatever, that would make the pilot drop on the wrong target.

All of this is unfortunately very hard to simulate in DCS - unless you go multiplayer and work with actual people. 🙂

Yeah that makes sense to me - but for purpose of the Single Player it would be great if ED would add this feature into the F10 Menu - also would be much greater if ED would give the opportunity to send EPLRS in Multiplayer via a JTAC Vehicle or Soldier 😃

You can already do this inbetween A-10Cs.

Yeah I know but not with a human jtac on ground which would add much more realism I guess 🙂
