Maxxox Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 Hi, just had a night-flight and noticed two things. 1. In the external view I noticed a difference in brightness of the anti-collision-light. From the left side it is much darker. Front, behind and the right side is ok/ normal. 2. With NVGs on, the right wingtip-light is much darker then the left one. Greetings
Tholozor Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 (edited) 1. Already reported. 2. That's because one is green and the other is red. The wavelength of green light isn't as bright when viewed through NVGs. Because red is closer to infrared, image intensifier optics that can be infrared-sensitive are more susceptible to being washed-out by red wavelengths.
