kmw072671 Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Hi, Its been almost a year since using DCS A10CII and I'm struggling getting back to re-learning the commands. Couple things driving me crazy if anyone can help: There are no missions in DCS for the A10CII, I thought there were before (only instant action now). Did they get removed in updates or can I get pre-designed missions somewhere and load into DCS? I cant get the helmet targeting management system (HMD) sensor of interest, I'm using the coolie switch up but doesn't work, did this change? Any suggestions? I can get the HUD or TGP sensor of interest no problem with the DMS but can't seem to get the HMD sensor of interest?? Thanks!!
Scotch75 Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Hey,Yes, there are a few hotas commands that have changed. Coolie Hat down short makes HMCS SOI, while Coolie Hat up short makes HUD SOI. The CMDS commands are different too. Best to download Chuck_Owl's A-10C manual as it has both legacy and new A-10C info in it.Regarding missions, maybe try navigating to the existing ED A-10C mission copy, save then rename it in your SavedGames/Missions. See if it will open with the Mission Editor and swap in the A-10C II, then save. It may work, but I think ED may have protected them. It's worth a shot; otherwise, there are very few missions available, as you said.Another option is to download "Through the Inferno" missions from the user files. They definitely have A-10C II slots in them. You can customise them with no enemy bandits so you can practice flying and employing the aircraft and weapons.Cheers!Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk 1 W10 Home 64Bit, Intel Skylake I5 6600K 3.50GHz, ASUS ROG Stryx Z270F MoBo, 64GB G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4 3200 RAM, Samsung 960 Pro 512GB M.2 SSD (OS), Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD, 2TB Seagate SDHD, 2TB WD Green HDD, Gigabyte 3060 12GB VRAM
kmw072671 Posted January 4, 2022 Author Posted January 4, 2022 Thanks for the help! Got the HMD working again now but the missions don't copy over to the A10CII, they come up as A10C only even in the A10CII menu once playing them...unless I'm doing something wrong?

Afterwards, you should be good to go. 1
