Hello,

does anyone know where I can see any form of outside air temperature, SAT, TAT etc. when I'm in the cockpit? I'd like to have an idea when to switch on Pitot Heat, Eng. Heat etc..

Thanks,

On Engine DDI page (SUPT/ENG) you will find "INLET TEMP" row indicating temperature at engine intake. While you are airborne and your pitot heat switch is in AUTO position, pitot, static and AoA probes heating will be automatically on, unless there is a malfuncion of WoW system. For engine heat, as Foka said, you do not need to put it on unless you receive INLET ICE caution or you are about to climb through icing conditions.

Thanks guys for your answers! Helps a lot. I thought, there must be a way of knowing how cold it is outside (more or less minus ram rise). I was flying in clouds and thinking, hmmm, is it +10°C or -10°C? Sure, I could look at the mission briefing and note the ground temp and deduce with the lapse rate.. but that is too academic 🐵
