I fly the F-16 currently, with hopes to switch over to the F-15 soon.  Watching pilot interviews elsewhere and seeing that their sticks are super tight, where just a nudge here/there will control the jet, I'm wondering if it might be a good option to adjust my tension in my springs, or use another set?

I'm currently using my base stock out of the box with the Constellation Alpha and have adjusted to it really well, although there is quite a bit of play in it.

Any advice?

I use the Realsimulator R3L base and Viper stick setup for the Viper. I just setup my CM2 base with the Thrustmaster Viper grip and first flew the Viper with the Standard cams and springs tighten down and it felt really nice. I would say with my limited experience with the CM2 and changing to the stiff springs would be really a great feel but it’s not gonna compare to the force sensing RS R3L base … but I would say it would be pretty damn close.

I used my CM (v1) as a side stick for a good year plus, before eventually centre mounting it with an extension.

If anything, I think that I loosened off the springs using the adjusters that are part of the design and without changing the springs.

Have to say that I'd be cautious about making the springs so tight that it's a real struggle to use, but that's just me.  Try tightening up your CM2 and see how you fare.
