Aisxos Posted January 19, 2022 Posted January 19, 2022 First of all, awesome campaign. Simply the best. Just ran into this hitch where my wingman decided to fly into me on this 2 hour long mission. I have a full tacview but i'd rather avoid spoling people. Not sure if anything can be done to fix this from a designer standpoint, but I guess i'll try to have him fly trail next time.
Reflected Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Sorry, us mission designers have much less control over the DCS AI than what people give us credit for. We tell them what to do, but how they perform it and what anomalies and glitches they'll present, that's in the hands of the AI programmer. FWIW it never happened to me, was it during level flight? If you record a track it may be worth opening a thread in the AI bugs section where the devs see it. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

Jayhawk1971 Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 It's pretty obvious that the AI spent either too much - or too little - time at Anderson AFB's "Disney Land".

Put him on trail and had no issues. AI wingmen are always kind of a liability anyway. It was extra suspicious that he slammed into me seconds after saying that line about how 'nice and quiet' it is out here Yeah, autopilot straight and level flight, just chilling to music and looking at radar when suddenly GAME OVER and jingle made me jump outa my chair lol. I do have a tacview but I doubt it's anything that can't be displayed from this couple of screenshots: On 1/22/2022 at 1:05 AM, Panny said: Should probably just fly better next time Uh huh, I'll remember that, next time I fly off your wing :3 Edited January 22, 2022 by Aisxos 1
Reflected Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 I just noticed in another campaign that AI wingmen sometimes warp back a hundred feet, then catch up, then warp back again. These anomalies change from update to update. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new AI update that they announce will solve all these issues. 1 Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
