Divutski Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 when you use your ground radar to fire the C-802AK, once a ship is locked, with SEA 1 or 2 the C-802AK goes to space. do i need to keep the lock ???
Napillo Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 hmm, set target size to small... set cruise to high, pick a ground target, launch, quickly lock an air target... take down a jet with a cruise missile! No, you should not have to keep it locked, the lock is only for TOO - the 802AK has its own seeker that it will turn on. Did you wait for it to be aligned? There's about a 3 minute delay after you turn on the missile where it has to align, the countdown shows up on the SMS page and on the display to the right.

Someone is asking why a reported behaviour is happening; it doesn't take much to draw the conclusion that it's associated with that very bug.
Napillo Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 I'm saying that Deka needs track files, something that shows this behavior. He could have just launched it without waiting for it to align, maybe she's low and they set it to cruise high, maybe it was set for 'popup' and its unexpected from the OPs point of view, lots of things that may be unexpected from a new user, but all have perfectly valid explanations.

If someone describes something as "going to space", it's probably not a little pop up, or altitude correction. Especially when the situation he described is exactly how the bug is reproduced.
uboats Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 hmmm old scheme made 802 with such issue with relatively high probability. but now 802 uses same scheme as harpoon (which has much much lower probability, although could happen for harpoon as well sometimes) weird, will check again [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |

I encountered a lot of this problem in previous versions, but it rarely appeared after the recent upgrade.
Aries101 Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 i tried to fire one 802Ak foew das ago for testing . I did keep it on lock up to very end but my 802 just decided to fly over ship and continue. After some time I think it autoexploded since he passed target. THis was not first time it happened. Unfortunately i dont have track and log, but next time I try I can supply that too if it happens again. 1 [sIGPIC]https://discord.gg/sWnHcRy[/sIGPIC] https://discord.gg/sWnHcRy
