Stone Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 I just purchased the F5 Tiger II and am having a problem... I've read the flight manual regarding turning up the NAV lights, and I've searched through the forum and the internet for an answer, but at this point I cannot get the taxi/landing lights to extend and turn on. I have the NAV rheostat turned up fully and the taxi/landing light switch positioned to the up/on position, but I can see no lights from the cockpit or from the outside aircraft view. Any help would be greatly appreciated Intel i7 9700K 4.6GHz · NVIDIA GeForce GTX2080 · AORUS Z390 PRO WIFI-CF · ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34" Curved· SK hynix Gold P31 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen3 M.2 2280 Internal SSD · 32Gb 1600MHz DDR4 · Windows 10 Pro · Saitek Cessna Pro Pedals · Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS · HP Reverb G2
Flappie Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Download this track and play it in DCS ('Replay' item from the main menu). F-5E_taxi-landing_light.trk ---
Stone Posted February 6, 2022 Author Posted February 6, 2022 @Flappie: Thanks for your quick reply. When I play your track and view the aircraft from the outside, the landing/taxi lights never come on. So if this track works for you, I must assume that there is something wrong with my installation - but I'm not sure what I can so outside of reinstalling DCS, which I do not want to do of course. If you have any suggestions that'd be great. Thanks again. Tarres Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Run DCS Repair and when "Select Repair mode" shows, select: Check all files and "search for extra files".
Stone Posted February 6, 2022 Author Posted February 6, 2022 Yep, that did it. After running repair and moving extra files to a backup, the lights now work. Not sure if the problem was a corrupted file or one of the mods. Should have tried that first but because I don't do it very often I forgot about it. Thank you kindly.
