solved Syria & Marianas .ng5 hanging

I am unable to load any Syria or Marianas mission. They both hang loading on either syria.ng5 or marianas.ng5. I have let them sit for over 1 hour to see if they would recover and they never do. I am using a completely clean saved games folder without any mods whatsoever. Log attached.

CPU: 5800X

GPU: 3080

Memory: 64GB

 

Loading seems to be extremely inconsistent. Cauc, NTTR, PG rarely have issues. But do stall somtimes, usually at "loading" with no progress bar. Nothing to show in logs.

Syria & Marianas usually don't work, but I was able to get into a single multipler server randomly.

 

Caught a multiplayer log where Syria worked.

Some maps now also hang at "loading" with no progress bar and nothing in logs.

 

EDIT 1: I've compelted a complete re-install. No help.

According to your dcs.log file, the issue comes from the mission you're trying to load. The last line in your log is this one:

2022-02-10 16:04:16.864 INFO    WORLDGENERAL: loading mission from: "C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\tempMission.miz"

When I load a Syria instant action mission, I get this:

2022-02-10 17:41:24.760 INFO    WORLDGENERAL (Main): loading mission from: "C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\tempMission.miz"
2022-02-10 17:41:24.803 INFO    APP (Main): use_xRay: yes

Try this:

1. Go to "C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\"
2. Delete folder "DCS.openbeta" (have no fear, it only contains temporary files).
3. Then retry to load your mission in DCS. The folder will be recreated.
