Mission editor templates were present for SAMs up till last evening. I was able to select SA10/SA2/SA6/SA8/Patriot/Hawk/Rapier/Roland etc as SAM sites. Last evening 11/02/2022 It has been reduced to the SA11 only for Russia and pretty much nothing for anyone else.

I have tried deleting the templates.lua file from saved games and restarting. When I checked the install folder for DCS it appears to only have a file dated 09/02/2022. Another weird thing. The font is bright green for the units in the tempate selector box in mission editor.

The application updated to the latest release on that day.

Being an idiot, I don't have a backup of that file. - Is there a download link for the correct file?

That’s correct, the remaining templates are under "Combined Joint Task Forces Red", not russia.

I am missing all the old templates too.  Was there a fix besides making your own?

the Group Templates are stored on a "templates.lua" file, located on \Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\MissionEditor\data\scripts … rename the file to templates.bak and then run a repair (with dcs_updater repair), the updater should re-download the file anew.

I do see the ones you had on your spreadsheet you linked.  There used to be a lot more though.  Odd that they are gone.

Ahh, ok, I never did use Group Templates as they are too limited (accepting only units belonging to a single Group and no statics), so I don’t know what templates used to be available.

I have opted to use Static Templates instead, as they are easy to collect onto libraries of pre-defined Sam positions, target facilities, etc. Their position is fixed during the template creation and can only be used on a single Map, but even so they save me a lot of time when editing new missions, for example this is a single Static Template for a red Sam position on the Marianas Map:
