Rocketdrvr Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Hi, newbie here and just wanted to ask a couple of quick questions. Firstly, I have the Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar system and was wondering how I can enable rudder control for the game?? Also can I put another manufacturers rudder system in the system configuration for Lock-On, like maybe CH Rudder Pedals?? Thanks for any help you folks can provide me. Rocketdrvr:pilotfly:
therion_prime Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Should be no problem. Alternatively you could map the rudder axis to a rotary on your throttle. My DCS movies:
sobek Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 That would be a case for the 'problems and bugs' forum. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Legolasindar Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I use Hotas Cougar and CH Pro Pedals USB. You can use this combination in any simulator. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Cavallers del Cel - Comunintat Catalana de Simulació http://www.cavallersdelcel.cat
Rocketdrvr Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 Thanks for the help folks - might have to invest in the rudder pedals soon.
strannick Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Hi. Have you used CH pro pedals in BS? if so, what is the assignment?? Joy RZ? thats what comes up, but the sim doesnt regonize my pedals when i go to move them in axis tune
aledmb Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 you can always use a usb racing wheel and set the pedals as a rudder. some wheels are cheaper than the most basic rudders. i'm using my g25 pedals (clutch and throttle). http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=35901
Talon Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) I use CH Pro Pedals for my rudder. They work great, and wheel brakes on the toe brake function. Strannick, go into the CH User Interface ( control manager) and set your rudder axis for whatever you want ( JoyZ, RZ, etc..) then in Blackshark, set it to the same axis for the rudder under the CH Pro Pedals column. For toe brakes, you do the same thing... set either the left or right ( or both individually) to a different controller ( 1,2,3 ) setting and assign either RZ, YZ, etc.. and then in game set the wheel brakes to the same. Always remember to go thru your controls in-game and "clear" the entries for areas that are auto assigned that will conflict with your controller inputs. In other words, when you set the CH Pedals to lets say JoyZ for rudder control in the CH Control Manager, you go in game and set the rudder to JoyZ under the CH Rudder Pedal column, if you look around to the left and right on the same rudder line, you may find that your joystick also has something assigned to rudder...Clear this entry so you dont have conflicts. I do this for everything in game. Edited December 29, 2008 by Talon [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
strannick Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 hey talon. cheers. i just found your reply. ill go try that. i think im getting profiles overlapping, or going to default, cause they keep coming up with different assignments
strannick Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 talon. that was it. thanks. i have been carpet bombing this forum with rudder complaints and now ive got it. i just had to, like you said, make sure the rudder from CH was the same assignment as in BS. thanks a ton!
