Non combat missions

Are there any non combat missions that try to simulate air traffic so it would appear to be a working airport/ airspace.  I wanted to just be able to fly around and get to know an aircraft while it not being too sterile. 

I've looked and can't really find anything.

I use the RAT feature of the Moose scripting package, to generate random background airtraffic on my missions … it is a great feature and can be easily enabled with just two triggers on any mission. Here is what it looks like:

That's really cool. The work this community does sometimes is unreal!

I messed around with that when it first came out years ago but could never get it to work very well. 

I don't suppose you have any examples you'd be willing to share please

IF RAT is too complex for you, Install Civil Air Mod https://cam.em-key.de/, then place some planes in ME, some landing, some takeoff, etc.

Also, you can combine them (RAT and CAM), it will generate a pretty civilian traffic.

yes, it isnt perfect, as some aircrafts are not compatible with every airbase, but for providing mission atmosphere it works well, here is a sample:

PD: here is another sample that doesnt need a DLC Map:
