hannibal Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 its just a controller...program the device, and you can play cod5 with it.. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
rviii Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Thanks, I 'm going to buy one to add more Key binds to the 527 :smartass: But was worried it would not be recognized... thx. Does anyone actually own one here ? www.legionofsparta.com
Vapour Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I've got one for FSX and i'm nearly certain it will only work on MSFS. I'm d/ling BS now so I will tell you for sure tomorrow.
rviii Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Quick Question 'Vapour' does windows recognize it as a controller/ buttons, as in WINDOWS 'Game controllers' in control panel? If it does then it should work.:joystick: www.legionofsparta.com
grover Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Its designed to work with SimConnect within FSX only so its not like a DX device, but theres a guy who has created a piece of software to allow people to use it in FS9. I have no idea how it works but it does at least show its possible to intercept the commands.
rviii Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Do you have the interface software LINK for this panel to work with other things? thx www.legionofsparta.com
Vapour Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 There used to be a thread about it in the Saitek forum but I can't find it, someone was asking could it be used for IL2 and the answer was no, it was an FSX addon only.
nachomaga Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Any news of Pro Flight Switch Panel working with Black Shark? Thanks!
Airway Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Still not. Ships with support for only Flight Simulator X.
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) Can you not you use the SST software to program it for BS? Not a good comparison but in LOMAC the only stick commands I programmed in game are for the axis' everything else is programmed in SST. But I dont know really, in theory though it should work. With SST it should be able to have keyboard commands programmed into that will in turn be recognized by BS. One of my home built panel projects I'm working on uses a Contour Designs Shuttle Pro2 a controller used in video/audio editing apps. Its not a game controller by any stretch but comes with its own version of SST like software to program it like a keyboard encoder. nachomaga Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 It seems the problem is the Saitek controller only connects with FSX part of sofware (or FS9 with special app). Don´t see any other software. But your idea sounds very good :)
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I understand that but if you program the controller thru SST it shouldnt matter technically speaking. At that point the game isnt seeing a controller its seeing a keyboard well in theory at least. Cant imagine saitek would make a boneheaded move like this, its a waste of a decent product. http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
stelios2000 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 and what about this? it has release date 15th of June http://www.simw.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=dsp_product_details&pid=1850
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Yeah that will be interesting for sure! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
