Nealius Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 I've seen a lot of very clean, professional-looking DCS screenshots with motion blur is applied to the background, and the foreground aircraft is very sharp and clear like a real photo. But when using the DCS Motion Blur setting I get distortion around the edges of the foreground object, as in the picture below. How do I get rid of this?

You can also slow down time and take successive screenshots. Основатель виртуальной =2nd Singing Squadron= в далеком 22 июне 2002

May it be, that you are confusing motion blur with depth of field? 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"

No, no, I know that motion blur and depth of field are two different things. I have ReShade installed and the screenshots are duplicated in the ReShade folder with motion blur, and in the DCS folder the same screenshots without motion blur. Moreover, I have found that screenshots with a clear object in the foreground and a background with motion blur are the result of working in a photo editor. No. I do have both on in that screenshot, however the distortion effect around the aircraft only happens with the motion blur. This can be easily tested by using Ctrl+F11 free camera and watching the plane move, as DoF is not applied to any camera view not attached to a game object. If you pause the game, you can also note that the blur effect disappears.
