CobaltUK Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 The WingWing throttle and grip has gone from re stock March 15th to date unknown. Windows 7/10 64bit, Intel i7-4770K 3.9GHZ, 32 GB Ram, Gforce GTX 1080Ti, 11GB GDDR5 Valve Index. Force IPD 63 (for the F-16)
Dragon1-1 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 (edited) That's because last time the F-18 version was back in stock, the throttle base sold out. Literally every other part except the Viper stick and throttle grips (still due on the 15th) is in stock. It suggests either poor planning on their part or that the throttle base is the hardest part to manufacture from all of them. I wish it wasn't so hard to get their gear, I'll be perfectly happy to sign up for a waiting list instead of frenetically clicking on stuff in the middle of the night. I actually tried getting the F-18 HOTAS on 28th, but the site crapped out before I managed to get to payment. That said, I've got it in cart, at least. So next time it's in stock I'll have a bit of a head start. Not sure about the Viper set. It looks nice, and I really like the idea of the stick, but I'm not so sure about the decision to make the hat switches 8-directional, in the real aircraft they're 4-directional, and I found the diagonal directions tend to be fairly useless (though I never used a long travel hat). Stick shaker and the analog paddle are something that I like, though. I might buy the stick someday. Edited March 4, 2022 by Dragon1-1

Dragon1-1 Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Try 10 seconds late. That's what happened to me. Gone in time it took me to throw it into the basket and hit "purchase", presumably to my internet being crap. By the time website recovered, they were gone. I hate it, if Winwing hardware wasn't so unique, I'd go to a competitor. I hope VKB and/or Virpil will someday catch up and start offering gear with realistic hat switches.
Lace Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Anyone know if the Viper throttle is compatible with the Gemini base? Laptop Pilot. Alienware X17, i9 11980HK 5.0GHz, 16GB RTX 3080, 64GB DDR4 3200MHz, 2x2TB NVMe SSD. 2x TM Warthog, Hornet grip, Virpil CM2 & TPR pedals, Virpil collective, Cougar throttle, Viper ICP & MFDs, pit WIP (XBox360 when traveling). Quest 3S. Wishlist: Tornado, Jaguar, Buccaneer, F-117 and F-111.
lqqfrank Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Good to see more helo coming... expecting decent missions as always.
CobaltUK Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 WinWing now offering pre order for its Orion F16 throttle and base Windows 7/10 64bit, Intel i7-4770K 3.9GHZ, 32 GB Ram, Gforce GTX 1080Ti, 11GB GDDR5 Valve Index. Force IPD 63 (for the F-16)
Dragon1-1 Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Saw it, I hope it doesn't mean an even longer wait for the F-18 version. With they did it for both desktop HOTAS sets, they seem to be the most popular.
