X_legio Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Hi folks, maybe a stupid question, I have a room of 4m x 3m dedicated to the sim, I use only VR and have a Reverb G2, I wondering if setting a 5.2 speakers setup is better that the G2 headset...
winghunter Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 To me it feels like wearing a helmet. Much more immersive than 5.1 DCS Web Editor - New 3D Mission Editor for DCS that runs in your browser DCS Web Viewer free browser based mission planner 4090 RTX, 13700KF, water cooled, Quest 3
VpR81 Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Prior to switching to VR i had my DCS sound splitted. I had the headphone sound (radio comms, RWR, warning sounds etc.) on my Headset and envroinment sounds ( engines, detonations, missiles etc.) on my 5.1 system. Added some immersion imo. When i got the G2, i switched to have all sounds on the VR headset. The G2 speakers are very good, but maybe splitting sound output may be worth a try for you. Brun Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I use speakers for external sounds and have comms through the headset. Works perfectly. Asus Z690 Hero | 12900K | 64GB G.Skill 6000 | 4090FE | Reverb G2 | VPC MongoosT-50CM2 + TM Grips | Winwing Orion2 Throttle | MFG Crosswind Pedals

Brun Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Hear like in helmet option isn't relevent (I have it turned off). Just set the devices for Main audio out and Headphones as required... X_legio Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 It's functioning, and very very good..... I love it
X_legio Posted March 20, 2022 Author Posted March 20, 2022 I am using this setting since a couple of days, but strangely there are some sounds really low, for example when you land there is almost no sound. Any guess ?
